Normal Usage
As with any web site, the web server software is recording some basic
information about your visit. That includes your computer's IP address,
the page(s) you request and the time you requested them.
This information is recorded by our hosting company for security reasons,
and will not be used by blueDonkey.org at all.
Submission of Votes
The executive ratings service records the following information each time
a set of votes is submitted:
- Your IP address
- The stock symbol associated with the vote(s)
- The time of submission
This information is recorded so that we can monitor use of the system,
and prevent abuse (e.g. if we suspect excessive voting from a
particular IP address, that IP address will be denied voting rights for a
period of time).
We do not record your individual votes, only the fact that you voted for
some of the executives associated with a particular stock symbol.
Submission of New Executives
If you choose to extend the number of executives associated with a
particular stock symbol/company, an email containing information about the
newly added executives will also be sent to the site's webmaster. This
allows us to check the accuracy of any newly added executives.
Sending Feedback
If you choose to send us some feedback on the website, the submission
form will ask you for your name and email address. These are optional.
Additionally, the system will add your IP address and your browser
and operating system information in case your feedback relates to problems
with the compatibility of the site and your system. Following submission,
you will be shown the full text of the message that was sent.
Error Reporting
Should the web site encounter any errors while you are using it, an error
report detailing the page, and any information about the error will be
automatically submitted to the webmaster. That will (hopefully) get the
problem fixed faster.
